Description:
One of the important challenges to improving end-of-life care is changing the medical education system to better prepare and train physicians in this important field. The following link is to an article about five medical students who recently completed the AMSA Foundation-VITAS End of Life Education Fellowship Program. These medical students spent several weeks of their summer attending seminars and working in hospices and nursing homes. These are important programs that will hopefully lead to more expansive curriculums in medical schools.
