Stephen H. Lockhart, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Stephen H. Lockhart, M.D., PhD, has been Chief Medical Officer of Sutter Health Network since January 2015. Before that, Dr. Lockhart served as the Chief Medical Officer for East Bay Region and Anesthesiologist at Sutter Health Network and as the Chief Administrative Officer and Vice President of the St. Luke’s Hospital Campus of California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.

He participated in a 15-member volunteer surgical medical team that traveled to Haiti to care for earthquake victims, a trip conducted in partnership with Partners in Health. He serves as the Chairman of NatureBridge. He has been a Director of Recreational Equipment, Inc. since February 9, 2010. He served as a Director of California Pacific Medical Center. He served as a Director of St. Luke’s Hospital. He has specialty in Board Certified Anesthesiology and has special Training in PhD, Cornell in Biostatistics and Clinical Pharmacology. Mr. Lockhart Completed his Internship in New York Hospital. He has Professional Education at Weill Medical College of Cornell University.
