John is a close friend of Andy Baxter and fellow Alumnus of Yale University. He went on to get his J.D. at The University of California Berkeley in 1968 followed by work with the Ford Foundation Grant for legal research in Europe. John established himself as a Parter for 43 years at the New York law firm of Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam & Roberts, which merged in 2001 with the California law firm of Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro to form Pillsbury Winthrop LLP. John specialized in corporate litigation and retired in 2013.
John’s non-profit work includes: President of the Lyme Land Conservation Trust, Trustee of the Connecticut Chapter of the Nature Conservancy, and Trustee of the Vista Endowment Fund. He is married to Lee Pritchard and has a son, Chris, and two grandchildren.
