Radical palliative surgery: new limits to pursue

Synopsis: 

This article provides a detailed case study of a 13 year old girl with a massive desmoid tumor.  She has definitive quality-of-life goals in mind going into her treatment options; wishes that are taken into consideration as the article discusses potential palliative surgeries to help alleviate pain and restore mobility.  This is a good palliative care case study that exemplifies patient-centered care whith the goal of maximizing quality of life and minimizing complications.
