This article, written by Neil Macdonald, is from the International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care.  This chapter which is part of a larger body of work on ethics in palliative care, addresses issues related to hydration and nutrition in patients experiencing chronic illness.  The dialogue is interesting and brings up fundementral palliative care debates about life prolonging treatments and associated moral, ethical, and biological considerations.
